1.
Why should my Web site be listed with search engines?
Research says more than 70 percent of hits on website are generated
through search engines. People that are using search engines to find a
site have intent to buy. They are increasingly using the web for
transactions. Personal and professional shopping percentages are going up
every month.
2. Why are
search engines so critical, SO IMPORTANT?
Online advertising may be waning, but search engine marketing is bo
oming. You could spend thousands of dollars on banner ads and
never be sure you're reaching your target customers. But when someone
visits your site from a search engine, you've got a pre-qualified
prospect; they've found you using a keyword that you've chosen to describe
your business. Studies have shown that 95 percent of internet users begin
their web research at a major search engine.
3. How can you help
my Business?
I guarantee that your website will have top placement in the search
engines and directories we submit to. We do this by first optimizing your
web site for search engine positioning thus making your web site "search
engine friendly." A vast majority of web sites on the Internet may look
good on the outside but are very poorly designed for great search engine
ranking. We ensure that your site is utilizing all of the latest methods
and technology according to the specific rules for each individual search
engine or directory. We then offer a variety of submission programs that
are specific to what you want to accomplish. Our submission programs are
targeted and bring results unlike the many "blind submission" programs out
there that really do nothing more than to submit your URL. We focus on
specific keywords, keyword phrases and even individual search engines and
directories themselves.
4. How do you go
about promoting my site?
We promote your site through hands on hard work and smarts. We've been
promoting Web sites for years now and simply put, we've gotten good at it.
Using a combination of site optimization, customized submissions and
professional banner ad creation and placement, we get our clients the
traffic they desire.
5. How many search engines & directories do u submit to?
We focus on 15 Major Search Engines and Directories.
Those programs out there that say they will submit your site to 1000's (
in some cases even 3000) of search engines are usually useless because a
lot of those 1000's of engines are merely email collection databases set
up for spamming.
Please
bear in mind that the major search engines reported by StatMarket :
1. Google
2. Yahoo
3. Msn
4. Aol
5. Go Network
6. Excite
7. Altavista
8. Lycos
represent 96.71% of the total search engine queries per day, or
approximately 308 out of 319 million.
This leaves 3.29% left for ALL other engines/directories/pay per bid
engines or approximately 11 out of 319 million. Need I say More.
6. Do you
manually submit to search engines or do you use automated software?
We feel it is very important to MANUALLY submit your site to the top 15
search engines and directories and WE DO NOT USE ANY SOFTWARE whatsoever.
Many of the top search engines refuse submissions from software programs
all together which is why we choose to manually submit.
7. Can't we do this ourselves?
You can, but get ready to spent hours adding your URL to hundreds of
search engines. You could be wasting your time. A particular search engine
may not be popular or may not be indexing at that time. How will you know:
1) if they accepted your submission, 2) where it was indexed 3) with what
keyword, and 4) in what position? Yes, you can search for the keywords you
specified in your meta tags, but did the content structure fit with the
specific search engine?
It's been our experience that most in-house efforts are sporadic at best
and typically utilize outdated techniques. Keeping up with the search
engines is a full-time job, and requires specialized training. We are
dedicated to staying intune with the ever-changing world of search engines
so you don't have to.
8. How much
will it cost me if I do it on my own?
If you submit your site to the search engines, they won't charge
you a dime. The real cost in promoting a site to search engines is in the
time and experience it takes to do it effectively.
9. We've
already registered our site; what more is needed?
Registering your web site with the major search engines is necessary, but
has little to do with how well it will be ranked. Every search engine uses
its own unique algorithms to determine the position of your site. They
measure dozens of criteria and are all weighted differently. It's our job
to keep on top of these requirements and prepare your site for submission
accordingly. Ours is an ongoing process dedicated to increasing your
rankings.
10. What if I have
multiple web sites?
Each site is considered an individual project and has its own strategy,
submissions and reporting. Discounts are available for multiple sites.
11. Does your work
alter my web site's look and feel?
Good Question. A proper answer can only be given after viewing the web
site. However, We can safely say that we try to work in conjunction with
your website and will only undertake changes that are necessary. We, of
course realize that a lot of effort and time has been spent on making your
website look great and we do take pains to ensure that we undertake only
the bare necessary things required to achieve top rankings. We have worked
on innumerable clients without in anyway affecting their look and feel.
Clients reports can be obtained on request.
12. Will you alter
my existing web site in any way?
Good Question. Again, A proper answer can only be given after viewing the
web pages. However, we can assure you that the changes done will the
minimum required.
13. When will I
begin to see results?
There are many factors involved here. Some are within our control and
others are not. Some results are immediate (paid submissions), while
others can take up to eight weeks after the submissions begin to see.
14. How do I find
out how we are currently ranked?
To find out where your site is currently positioned, please
email us your
website address and we will get back to you with the latest report.
15. Are you effective with framed web sites?
Typically framed web sites rank low on search engines. However, I've
methods and techniques to get around this so that even framed web sites will
rank well. I have a proven track record for a frame based website.
16. How long will it take until I start seeing results?
It depends on the search engine. Some index your site in few days time
while others can take up to 2-3 months.
17. How long will my company's web site stay at the top of the
major search engines?
I will ensure that your company's web site stays at the top of the major
search engines for the duration of your contract with us. Because search
engine positioning requires continuous effort, we cannot guarantee that
you will retain top rankings should you cancel your service with us.
18. What are the top
10 search engines, and which ones give the best results?
A: Yahoo is the most widely used by people, but it's a directory is not a
search engine. On Yahoo you are first shown data from Google that is
combined with Yahoo Directory Listings. You can click on the "directory"
button at the top of the page if you desire to only view Yahoo Directory
Listings. Google data is also used by AOL, Iwon, Netscape, Canada, Yahoo,
and many other search engines. Hence, I think Google is the most important
followed by MSN.
NOTE: StatMarket reports that 96.71% of the approximately 319 million
search engine queries per day come from:
1. Yahoo
2. Google
3. Msn
4. Aol
5. AltaVista
6. Go Network
7. Lycos
8. Excite
19. How much time does it take to promote a web site?
It can take any amount of time, depending on how many URLs you are
submitting - and also the number of search engines involved. The actual
submission of a single URL to a single search engine is really
insignificant in the big picture. The real time is spent in checking your
sites listing on the engines and optimizing your site for better
positioning.
20. Does it matter to the search engines how my site looks and functions?
Yes, actually, it does. The search engines look for certain content in a
document you submit. It even looks at your images!
21. Can I design and build my own site and have you promote it?
Yes, but we may have to modify some parts of your site to ensure its
search engine friendly.
22. What are the cost and terms of your contract?
Programs are designed according to each client's needs. A 6 month
commitment is required for best results. Please contact us to learn more.
